I will still be featuring artists, photographers, architecture (and the like) that catch my attention but will also be incorporating facets of my daily life into the blog. I’ve promised to make this blog a little bit more personal, so here’s my start! Since traveling has been a huge part of my life from a very young age, I’ve decided to add “travel diary” to the list of blog categories. Sooo, without further adoooo…I recently embarked on a much needed mini-sabbatical to Ocean City, NJ (I found a great deal on Living Social). Have you ever felt like you just needed to…get away? I’ve been working tirelessly over the past year and needed some alone time with not only myself but with Lord as well (my #1 relationship). I caught up on some biblical reading, praising, worshipping and sat back to appreciate the Master’s scenic artisty. I’m slightly embarrassed (that it took me so long) but elated to finally finished the Gospel of John and….wow! All I can say is Einstein (who was a Jew, by the way) said it best in an interview for The Saturday Evening Post in 1929: “No one can read the Gospels without feeling the actual presence of Jesus. His personality pulsates in every word. No myth is filled with such life.”
I think every human being on the planet owes it to themselves to read the Gospel of John, whether you’re a believer or not. Anywho, here are a few pics I snapped on the nikon.
A bean burrito meal I enjoyed from a vegan friendly restaurant on the boardwalked called Bashful Banana.
Mmmmmm sorbeto!!!! I think the flavor was “very berry,” and it was dairy free!
Absolutely the most average tasting fries I’ve ever had. What they really should be marketing is that lemonade which was spectacular!

So I totally overcame my fear of approaching random people and asking to take their picture this weekend *pats self on back*. I was actually suprised at how enthusiastically people reacted to having their picture taken and giving me details on what they were wearing! I will definitely be doing more of this, especially with fashion week coming up!
Spotted this lovely lady at an outdoor festival I went to yesterday. I was trying to take the pics “incognito-style” but she spotted me (check the last pic). She was actually modeling the body jewelry for one of the vendors (and I cannot for the life of me find the business card she gave me!). I hope she sees this post so I can update it with the information! Come on universe!
